Pie with pork and apples. According to Gian Luca Demarco

Did you know that pork goes well with apples? The famous chef GIAN LUCA DEMARCO offers to prepare a delicious and hearty cake from everyday ingredients.

During the show LA MAISTAS, the cake was made with a compact, mobile grill COBB and this one grill pan COBB wok, but you can also prepare this dish in any other barbecue or home kitchen with available cooking utensils.

Ingredients for 8 servings:

Dough:

  • 400 g of flour
  • 200 g of butter
  • 100 ml of water
  • Salts (to taste)

For the filling:

  • 400 g of minced pork
  • 250 ml of 35% cream
  • Olive oil (fry for baking)
  • 2 apples
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Cinnamon (to taste)

Production:

  • Grind cold butter and flour with the help of a grinder, add water little by little. Add a couple of pinches of salt. Divide the dough into two parts, wrap each in cling film and leave in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  • Fry finely chopped onion in olive oil, add minced pork. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Cut 1 apple into cubes, fry together with the meat.

  • Roll out the dough, place it in a form lined with baking paper. Add the meat and apple filling.
  • Cut the second apple into half-moons and arrange on top of the meat-apple filling.
  • Beat the egg and 250 ml of heavy cream in a bowl. Season with cinnamon, salt and pepper. Pour the cream sauce over the meat filling. Roll out the remaining dough, cut in and cover the filling.
  • Bake in the grill at an indirect temperature of 180 degrees or in the oven in the convection mode for 35-40 minutes.
