Pork ribs are a timeless grill classic. Their variations are different, but probably every baker has his signature recipe, which he always uses and never makes a mistake when he puts such a dish on the table. You can also find a classic, but really great recipe in this post.
The recipe is shared by the chefs of TRAEGER, a global grill company. We guarantee that the result will surprise you, and you will have to devote very little of your free time to the preparation.
You can prepare this dish TRAEGER in the grill or any other grill or even in the oven. But keep in mind that wood pellets or charcoal give a special, unique smell and taste.

Ingredients:
- 4 strips of pork ribs
- 1/2 a cup of ground paprika
- 1/3 cup garlic powder
- 2 hours onion powder
- 2 v.h. chili spices
- 1 v.h. ground cayenne pepper
- 2 v.h. black pepper
- 1.5 tbsp. dried oregano
- 1,5 a.sh. ground cumin
- 1/2 apple juice
- 1/2 white grape juice
- Honey
- Traeger 'Que or your other favorite BBQ sauce
Production:
-
Combine the spices: In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, chili powder, cayenne and black pepper, oregano, and cumin. Mix the spices well;
-
Rub the ribs with the resulting spice mixture on both sides;
-
Rub the salt and brown sugar mixture into the meat and refrigerate, uncovered, overnight;
-
Set up TRAEGER in a pellet grill 135 ˚C temperature and heat the grill with the lid on for 15 minutes;
-
Place the ribs directly on the grill grate, meaty side up. Close the lid and bake for 45 minutes. When cooking in a non-granular grill, choose an indirect cooking method (use a deflector), 135 ˚C temperature, smoke using your favorite wood chips or blocks.;
- While the ribs are cooking, mix the apple and grape juice;
-
Remove the ribs from the grill and place them on top baking paper or with the fleshy side of the foil up. Pour juice mixture over ribs;
-
Drizzle honey liberally over each strip of ribs. Wrap the ribs tightly in baking paper or to foil. Why do we suggest using baking paper? You will have a stronger smoke taste and smell.
-
Return the ribs to the grill and cook for another 1 hour with the lid closed. The temperature is the same - 135 ˚C.
-
Wrap the ribs in paper or foil and place directly on the grill grate. Increase the temperature to 175 ˚C degrees and bake for another 30 minutes.
- With a brush baste the ribs Traeger Que or your other favorite BBQ sauce and fry for another 5 minutes. Slice the ribs and serve for company to enjoy!
DELICIOUS!
