Being in nature, many people wonder what, besides barbecue and sausages, can be prepared in an easy and more interesting way. We offer you an option that is simple to make, but tried by a rare Lithuanian - to make stew over a campfire. Of course, it can also be grilled if you only take it with you.
This type of stew allows you to improvise: add your favorite vegetables, spices, meat, chicken - whatever you have and whatever you want. Even each eater can assemble his favorite combinations - just like making a pizza. Both children and adults willingly participate in this process, both in gathering the ingredients, wrapping in foil, and baking. You can be sure - your little ones will stay away from the campfire and eat dinner with pleasure.
Ingredients
- Pork is an ideal snack.
- A wide variety of vegetables - peppers, zucchini, onions, cauliflower, eggplants, carrots, boiled beans - whatever you want. Even frozen vegetables and their sets will do.
- Your favorite spices, garlic (do not spare), pepper, salt, your favorite herbs
- A drizzle of oil/butter
- Mustard, favorite sauce (optional)
- Foil

Production
- Cut the pork into large pieces, season and leave to marinate for at least a few hours.
- Wrap the meat together with vegetables and spices, oil, garlic or sauce in foil. One such wrapped piece should serve 2-3 people. Don't spare the foil.
- If you cook outdoors, without a grill, dig it in the ground under the fire, cover it with embers. Do not put it on the highest heat: the ingredients wrapped in foil must warm easily and for a long time. You can not use if the heat is more or less the same on all sides of the foil.
- If you grill, grill in indirect heat, at a temperature no higher than 150 degrees. At the end of cooking, you can use a bag to lightly brown the surface of the vegetables. There is no need to turn the packet

Tips
- If you want the maximum rich taste, before wrapping the products in foil, roast them briefly over direct heat/flame.
- Do not spare the foil. If you are going to cook in direct heat all the time (e.g. on a barbecue grill), turn the foil packet every 5-10 minutes.
- You can wrap various combinations of vegetables, meat, poultry in foil. Even shrimp or other seafood. This is another option to easily and improvisedly prepare delicious food while in nature or even at home.
Delicious!
