A quality knife that has been sharp for a long time no longer cuts? Damaged knife blades? Broke the tip of a knife? Want to change the shape of the blade? Or maybe you want to dull the blade so that it's not so sharp at the handle?
Our friend can help you with all these questions Rimantas Lukoševičius. For almost 20 years, Rimantas has been sharpening various (even Damascus steel) barber scissors and other tools. In recent years, he has also been focusing on knife sharpening, and in his spare time he teaches informative, interesting and very useful classes on the tools without which no cooking is possible.
For knife sharpening, Rimantas uses only special, professional sharpening machines, and checks the quality of the metal through a microscope. The price of the service depends on the damage to the knife, the desired purpose (etc.), but is not high (from 10-15 eur).

Introduction of Rimant
I started my journey with barber scissors in 2003 as a manager of UAB Evelita (Cutrin), selling KAI Kasho scissors. And I have been sharpening them since 2011.
Right now, after stepping down from Cutrin management, I'm just sharpening.
Now, with more time, I will be able to pursue even greater professionalism in sharpening hair cutting scissors and revive my old - new passion: sharpening knives. Previously, due to lack of time, I did not have the opportunity to offer this service to everyone. I am asking for your trust and support in this service. And I will try to surprise you by revealing the possibilities of your knives.
Although the sharpening systems of professional shears and knives are completely different, there is one common link - it is handmade. Without which, even the most perfect systems become worthless. Yes, equipment and their accuracy are very important.
I am currently heavily invested in top tier systems:
- for scissors, according to KAI kash's recommendations, Hira-to equipment, thanks to which I improve the restoration of long, from 6.5 inches and longer, fully convection (sliding) blades.
- For sharpening knives - TSPROF Profil K03, Blitz360, thanks to which I can sharpen the angle of the knife blade with an accuracy of 0.1 degrees.
Experience + quality equipment + my handiwork = great result
